Racing Beat designed the RX-8 Oil Cooler Screens in an effort to provide additional protection to the "exposed" oil coolers. Although Mazda positioned the oil coolers in a strategic position to allow maximum airflow, this positioning also allows potential, and costly, damage from road debris!!
The oil coolers on the RX-8 are positioned behind the outer openings in the nose in order to benefit from the cool intake air. However, these cooler are in the direct line of fire from any piece of road debris that can enter these openings! Racing Beat has developed a set of stainless steel protective screens to minimize the potential for damage to these critical components.

A. Manual transmission RX-8 requires two (2) screens.
Installation of the screens requires the removal of the front nose, and be accomplished with the provided step-by-step instructions. Installation can be undertaken by one person in about an hour and requires only simple hand tools.
