The Racing Beat Front Lower Control Arm Brace for all 1990-2005 MX-5's is a thick, cast aluminum brace that is both lightweight and rugged. As quoted by Miata Magazine, "The Racing Beat sub frame brace is the nicest one we’ve ever seen, including Mazda’s."
Our brace has been powder-coated to virtually eliminate corrosion and is quickly installed beneath the transmission bell housing, attaching at the lower control arm chassis mounts. This brace attaches with a total of four (4) mounting bolts and is supplied with supporting backing-plates for a secure and superior attachment.
This brace, when installed in the 1990-93 Miata, provides significant and additional chassis stiffness, most noticeably in extreme performance driving. The 1994 and later Miata chassis are equipped with a factory brace; however, in these applications, the Racing Beat brace offers greater chassis stiffness than does the factory brace. The Racing Beat brace can be used in addition to, or to completely replace, the stock component.
This brace is shipped complete with all necessary hardware and tools, and can be installed in minutes using only basic mechanical skills.
