The factory converter for the 1999 to 2005 MX5 is a welded in part of the mid-pipe, fully MOT & MSA Emissions Compliant

Complete your highflow exhaust system with this mid-pipe...this is the best BOLT IN mid-pipe available for second generation MX5s and includes a highflow converter and built in resonator!

Size is a full 63.5mm from tip to tip in all stainless steel.

So if you want the flow to connect your new high flow header to your new high flow silencer here it is...for normally aspirated to supercharger or turbo Not for use with Racing Beat's lower rear chassis brace.

Unfortunately, this component cannot be used on the 2001-05 nbfl 1.6 unless the complete system is changed for the early 1998-1999 earlier style system . Please contact us with your model if unsure.

Intallation was "Plug and play" (my meccanic did the job). The sound was fantastic before (Racing Beat header and muffler) and now even better
