Pro Car Innovations Seat Mounts take the guessing game out of installing a race seat in your MX5. The PCI Seat Mount is our top choice for getting the lowest seat fitment possible with a bolt-in seat mount. To get any lower would require cutting the chassis.

This version with slider takes PCI's low profile seat mount design and adds a slider in between the base and the side brackets for those who need the slider function. Keep in mind that the slider adds some height (about 3/4 of an inch) compared to PCI's non-sliding seat mount, available elsewhere on our site. Taller folks who are trying to get as low as possible should consider our other PCI seat mount that does not have a slider and can therefore get you even lower. But for those who must have a slider (multiple drivers with different leg lengths for example), this is the most low-profile seat mounting option that has a slider incorporated in it.

Why 1/8 steel vs. 3/16 steel?

It is simple! PCI mounts are cut and formed completely from one piece. With this design the mounts can achieve the same strength if not more by having bends and altering the shape to areas where increased strength and stiffness is required. So, don t be fooled by bigger and heavier is better. 3/16 is more widely used for the simplicity of design, manufacturing and the ease of welding.
